The students of the participating universities enthralled the jubilant audience comprising of students, staff and faculty of Preston University and other guests by their remarkable singing talent. The brilliant performances of the participating students left the chief guest of occasion, eminent singer Humaira Channa and the judges totally spellbound. In fact, it became difficult for the judges of the competition to determine the first, second and third positions.
The second prize was grabbed by Javeria Shoaib of Preston University, Islamabad. Third prize in the competition was awarded to Thecla Trinity of Preston Institute of Nano Science and Technology (PINSAT) Islamabad. In male category of the singing competition, Ali Hassan of Punjab University, Lahore beat his counterparts from other participating universities out-and-out and was adjudged the best singer by the judges and awarded first prize. Second prize in the male category of the competition was grabbed by Imran Ali of Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi won the 2nd prize. The 3rd prize was awarded to M. Sajjawal of Hamdard University, Islamabad.
He fully endorsed the views
of the chief guest Ms. Humaira Channa and the judges that with a little
more grooming these students could do extremely well in the art of
singing and earn laurels for their respective institutions and for the
country. Later, prizes were distributed among the winners of both
categories of the inter-university singing competition
