Preston University at HEC’s Executive Programme on Agentic AI and Governance
Dr. Saima Afzal, Registrar, Preston University, participated in The Intelligence Shift – Executive Programme on Agentic AI and Governance, organised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with Huawei at HEC Islamabad.
The programme was attended by HEC Chairman Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and brought together Vice Chancellors and faculty members from universities across Pakistan to explore the evolving role of Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education.
The session highlighted AI applications in teaching, learning, research, and institutional management, emphasising responsible AI adoption, effective governance frameworks, and opportunities to advance AI integration across Pakistan’s higher education sector.
